How to Upload an Ergomo File to your TrainingPeaks online account

  • Upload to your account directly using Device Agent (Win or Mac) or WKO (Win only).

How to Download a Workout Direct from an Ergomo

(This steps are the same for both WKO+ and Device Agent)

  • Make sure your Ergomo is fully charged.
  • Unplug your download cable from your computer, close WKO+.

Now in this order:

  • make sure all training related software is closed
  • Open WKO+
  • plug your download cable into your computer
  • turn on the Ergomo and plug it into the download cable
  • go to the WKO+ Home, go to Application Settings
  • in Application Settings select Ergomo as the Training Device Type (by clicking once on the white space to the right of Training Device Port, then use the drop down menu that appears)
  • then select the correct Training Device Port (the right one will have text in parenthesis off to the right of the com number). If you do not see any port number with parenthesis off to the right, than your computer is not recognizing the device drivers and you either need to download and install the drivers from the Ergomo website (http://www.ergomo.net/?module=pliki&id=31), or you can get a third party Serial-to-USB converter from any computer store and that third party adapter will come with its own drivers.

Once you are seeing the text in parenthesis off to the right of the port your download cord is plugged into, then you know that the computer is "seeing" the Ergomo.

  • now open the athlete profile you want to download to
  • open the file menu and click "Training Device Download"
  • then click "Start Download"

  • Also, do you have the latest build of TrainingPeaks WKO+?
  • All you need to do is goto the UNLOCK and CUSTOMER LOG IN page, log in with your username and password and then click the ‘Download Products’ link, where you’ll be able to download the latest build of Version 2.2. No need to uninstall or use the ‘migration tool’ just install it right over top of your existing copy and all your data will be safe.

Here are a few more solutions to try:

  • Re-set your Ergomo pro. Take a 1.5mm allen key or LARGE paper clip and depress the reset button(it’s deep in there). Then try again. When you re-set the Ergomo, you will not loose any data.
  • Make sure that you are not running or have installed the CyclingPeaks software at the same time as ErgoRacer 3.0 (Ergoracer 3.0 is a product from a company independent from WKO+ and Peaksware)
  • Make sure there are no other device conflicts ( go to windows control panel, then to device manager and you can pull up all the connections on your computer, if there is a conflict you will see a yellow question mark next to that particular device. Most of the time its a matter of changing the port to which it is attached.

NOTE: When you download, there is a button on the download box that says, "clear device". After you download, save the file. Then click this "clear device" button every time, after every ride! Just 'resetting' trip, does not CLEAR the Ergomo, you have to do it from the software.

Best practices:

Choose 1 second data logging interval. Use the software to smooth the data later.

'Clear History' after downloading as this will make subsequent downloads go much faster and remove any hidden data issues.

Always 'Clear History' before changing settings. If you forget, then 'Clear History' after changing settings but before you ride.

Use WKO+ to configure your device. Do not change settings on the Ergomo CPU prior to downloading your data.

  • Finally, if you still have trouble, it could very well be that the USB port you plugged the cable into just doesn't work for that cable. Try some other USB ports and make sure to change your Training Device Port setting in WKO+ to the correct one as well.

General Tips

  • Please note that because of the granularity of the date/time we can't handle more that 20 days worth of data at once when downloading to WKO+ from your device. Download often and clear your device memory from the software (not just from the device itself) on a regular basis!
  • WKO+ is picky to which USB port you use.
  • If you use a different port each time to plug in your USB device, you have to change the com port address to correspond.
  • Also, do not try to download to WKO+ when you have other training software running.
  • Also, if you can't download, it might be that the USB adapter you have is simply not compatible with your setup.
