Messenger has been discontinued

As of April 15th, 2008, TrainingPeaks.com will no longer function with the TrainingPeaks Messenger application.

Brief background on the discontinuation of Messenger:

Messenger has been replaced with the TrainingPeaks Device Agent, which has a simpler download interface, works with more devices, and is built on an improved underlying architecture.

However, Messenger has been supported until now, because owners of the Garmin 301 GPS device required Messenger to get accurate downloads. Because of some design quirks within the 301, we required 301 users to keep using Messnger in order to download the device. The 301 has a different internal system than all of Garmin's newer devices, which are supported by Device Agent.

Recently, Garmin updated their own software, Training Center, to allow the single export of a single workout as a .tcx file. The TrainingPeaks.com Daily Log allows for the easy upload of the .tcx file, and this is now our standard and recommended download procedure for the Garmin 301 user; instructions can be found at: Exporting Garmin Files from Garmin Training Center for upload through Daily Log or import to WKO+

If you have a different Garmin device, like the Forerunner 205, 305, 405 or EDGE 205 or 305 you can use the Device Agent.
